IDEAL LEVELS: Prior to using this product, adjust the pH levels to the ideal range of 7.2-7.6 to promote bather comfort, and protection of spa plant equipment and effective chemical use.
Prior to using Chlorine Tablets and for freshly filled new spas or spas left drained for a period of time, these require an initial start-up dose of 50mg/l (ppm) of free chlorine circulated for a minimum of an hour.
These smaller chlorine tablets are designed for use with chlorine feeders or with floating dispensers. They will slowly erode over a period of 3-5 days, depending on the water flowing over them. As they release chlorine relatively slowly it may be necessary to shock dose or oxidise prior to their use to first establish some chlorine more rapidly. Ideal chlorine levels are between Pools 1-3mg/l (ppm); Spas 3-5mg/l (ppm) as tested by a test kit or strips.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: IMPORTANT – DO NOT ADD DIRECTLY TO A POOL OR SPA AND ALWAYS USE A CLEAN APPLICATOR AS BELOW WITH NO OTHER PRODUCTS PRESENT.
Floating Dispenser: Fill the Trichlor floating dispenser with tablets and adjust the aperture mechanism at the bottom of the dispenser to obtain Pools 1-3mg/l (ppm)l Spas 3-5mg/l (ppm). Alternatively, keep the dispenser aperture constant and vary the tablets inside to achieve Pools 1-3mg/l (ppm)l Spas 3-5mg/l (ppm). The dispenser should be removed from the pool or spa whilst swimmers are bathing.
Chlorine Feeders: Fill the dispenser and follow feeder instruction manuals on flow regulation to maintain Pools 1-3mg/l (ppm)l Spas 3-5mg/l (ppm) chlorine levels.
DOSING/STORAGE: Handle products in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors. Ensure lid is replaced and sealed after use. Ensure chemicals do not become damp in storage – store in a cool, dry place. Wash hands after use.
